While organising the CDP celebration and building this site we discovered something that amazed us: there is no definitive archive of CDP work in existence anywhere. We spoke to Barry Cox at the History of Advertising Trust and he told us that he has some CDP work in his archive, but by no means enough to represent comprehensively the output of the agency. This gave us an idea. There must be dozens of ex-CDP copywriters, art directors, TV producers and account men out there who have personal portfolios and showreels. If you have, and you don’t mind lending your work to us, get in touch and we will arrange to digitise whatever you give us and pass it on to Barry at the History of Advertising Trust. He intends to create a dedicated CDP archive so that future generations can enjoy and learn from our work. In the first instance, get in touch with John Stuart. He will guide you through what to do next. By the way, we will accept work in any form: 35mm film, proof, slide, U-Matic or VHS.
